
Connecting Clogau’s Systems for Smarter Retail Operations
We unified Clogau’s inventory, credit, and order systems—making operations faster, clearer, and fully automated.




Project Overview
Clogau operates across both retail and e-commerce channels, using a combination of Shopify, Unleashed, Lightspeed, AX Dynamics, and The Hut Group (THG). Their setup supported B2B and B2C operations but needed assistance in order to scale efficiently.

Challenges Addressed
Despite having powerful tools in place, Clogau’s systems weren’t speaking to each other effectively. Inventory data was misaligned across platforms, credit limits were being managed manually, and order syncing was unreliable, especially for B2B workflows. With high-traffic events like Black Friday approaching, these gaps presented some concerns

The system involved numerous integrations, including Shopify Plus , light speed POS system, AX Dynamics, Unleashed, and THG.
A full code review of the existing system was conducted to identify issues and gaps, focusing on Shopify’s backend and integration logic.

Stock levels in Unleashed needed to sync seamlessly across Shopify, Lightspeed POS, and THG.
Resolved issues where THG was not correctly picking up stock levels for new products.
Implemented barcodes in Shopify to align inventory data across systems.

Developed functionality to update and manage customer credit limits from AX directly into Shopify Meta Fields.
Added the credit_max field and integrated a new API endpoint for Credit Remaining to calculate and sync credit limits and unpaid invoices.
Enhanced the Shopify project by updating models and services to accommodate this data flow.

Orders received via API were stored in an SQL database but required seamless pushing into Shopify as distinct orders labeled by channels (e.g., "Outlet").
Adjusted the SQL queries to align with the client’s requirements and integrated with Shopify for improved order processing.

Built functionality to handle B2B orders by calculating total unpaid invoices and subtracting from the customer's credit limit dynamically.
Integrated recalculation and updates upon invoice payments to reflect accurate credit balances in real-time.

Addressed THG’s inability to sync stock levels accurately.
Migrated critical stock syncing operations from the old system to the new Entlix-managed project.
Focused on API improvements for order authentication and product title updates.
Audit & Discovery
We began with a full audit of Clogau’s backend architecture, focusing on the logistics within Shopify, outdated SQL queries, and sync issues across THG, Unleashed, and POS systems. Our goal was to simplify processes and create clean, reliable pathways between platforms.
